January 15, 2010 – 2009 Marks Another Year of Market Leadership in Premium Car Brands for Mercedes-Benz • Mercedes-Benz continued positive trend in Hong Kong and Macau — sales in second half of 2009 increased significantly and achieved: - the leading premium car brand - the best-selling European car brand - the 2nd best-selling car brand in total car market • Mercedes-Benz outperformed the overall market in 2009 and expanded market share • New E-Class and New-Generation S-Class contributed to boost sales — remained segment leaders • C-Class Sedan once again led its segment
Despite facing very difficult market conditions, Mercedes-Benz successfully defended its leading position in premium car brands in 2009, thanks to its appealing marketing and effective product strategies of introducing fascinating models to the market. In December the brand showed strong sales again, delivering over 380 units in Hong Kong and Macau. The company continued the positive trend of the past several months. As a result, Mercedes-Benz was ranked the 2nd best-selling car brand in the total car market (Hong Kong and Macau combined), and remained the market leader of premium brands in 2009, with the overall market share further increased to 13.1% (2008: 11.5%). During the year as a whole, Mercedes-Benz delivered over 3,300 vehicles, by its exclusive dealer Zung Fu, to customers.

| New E-Class and S-Class boost sales |
The new E-Class models performed very well in 2009 and helped to give sales an important boost. The sedan met with an outstanding customer response from the very start, and it has continuously led its segment since its official launch in May. The total deliveries of the E-Class in 2009 reached 1,171 units which put it ahead of its competitors.
The New-Generation S-Class was successfully launched as well in September 2009, contributing to the sales increase at Mercedes-Benz particularly in the fourth quarter. Despite the introduction of new models by competitors, the S-Class was the best-selling luxury sedan in its segment during the whole year, with deliveries of 459 vehicles.

With sales of 709 units, the C-Class Sedan once again took the lead in its segment in 2009.

| Competitive range of products in 2010 |
Mercedes-Benz will also offer its customers many attractive new products in 2010, beginning with the new E-Class Estate and Cabriolet, which will round out the E-Class model family. Positive momentum in 2010 will also be generated by the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

| Maybach Zeppelin delivered in Hong Kong |
Within the super-luxury segment, Mercedes-Benz Cars crowned its range of luxury sedans by introducing the Maybach Zeppelin in 2009. Despite the very difficult market situation, a total of 6 Maybach vehicles (2008: 5), including one Maybach Zeppelin which was built in a limited edition of just 100 worldwide, were delivered to customers in 2009.
