| | October 12, 2009 - The first MercedesTrophy Hong Kong golf event came to a successful close at the challenging South and East course located at the Jockey Club Kau Sai Chau Public Golf Course on October 9, 2009. The 2-day event (October 8 & 9) has secured over 70 Mercedes-Benz owners to participate in the tournament competing for a total of four trophy titles, and a total of about 40 guests joining as social golfers. |
After two days of great golf and grueling 18-hole competition, four tournament players secured the coveted titles. They are:
• Mr. Wong Ho Ka Albert, Best Tournament Gross Score – Men's
• Ms. Belinda Bih Yu, Best Tournament Gross Score – Ladies'
• Mr. Wong Kei Fat, Champion of Category A, and
• Ms. Law, Nim Kwan Michelle, Champion of Category B
The MercedesTrophy has been an internationally renowned golf tournament in the past two decades. The first MercedesTrophy Hong Kong was organized by Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Limited, with the support of the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) under the recently signed Strategic Partnership.

| To bring in unique and memorable elements to the MercedesTrophy, Josh Olson, a PGA Professional and one of the most popular Long Drive champions in America, was invited to the event and performed amazing and powerful drives and entertaining trick shot show that has impressed every audience. |
| Furthermore, the participants could touch-and-feel the newly launched Mercedes-Benz flagship model, the New-Generation S-Class, which was displayed at the Golf Course Club House. |
| In appreciation of its proud players for their support, as well as in an effort to enhance the competitive nature of the tournament, Mercedes-Benz introduced the "Hole in One" Award this year: a Calcite White C 200 K Avantgarde saloon (at HK$411,500 with FRT included). |
