April 11, 2011 – Followed by the great market success of the G-Class G 300 CDI Military Version launched last year, Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong announced to introduce a new variant, the G 300 CDI Professional Version which is a 4-seater.

Same to the Military Version, the G 300 CDI Professional Version is powered by the
fuel-efficient V6 CDI engine generating 135 kW/183 hp and 400 Nm. It demonstrates extraordinary off-road and impressive dynamic performance, with the capability of managing high angle of approach (36˚) and departure (31˚) for rough terrains, gradability (maximum 80%) and fording depth (600mm).

More differentiations of the Professional to the Military are its double-wing tailgate and wood paneled flooring. The two Versions aim to cater different needs of offroading fans.

The G 300 CDI Station Wagon Professional Version is now available in Hong Kong, selling at HK$708,000.

Since Mercedes-Benz first commissioned Magna Steyr in the Austrian city of Graz to produce the G-Class in 1979, over 200,000 have been built.
