Robust, durable and ideal for mounting bodies – the frame
The Atego frame was specially designed to meet the demands of short-radius distribution. A special feature is its two-piece design. The front section comprises two downward-sloping longitudinal members with Z-profile, which enables the front part to be lowered. This gives the Atego up to 10.5 t and the 12 t LF* Atego a low, single-step cab entrance. The Z-profile also allows more room for attaching assemblies. It goes without saying that the frame is also extremely strong. No frame reinforcements or subframes are required to add a tail lift (with a load-bearing capacity of up to 1.5 t).
A continuous hole matrix and cathodic dip priming ensure outstanding rust and corrosion protection for the Atego frame. Thanks to the 50 mm hole matrix, no further drilling is necessary when mounting attachments and other units, such as tanks, exhaust systems and batteries. This means that body assemblies can be pre-manufactured and fitted more quickly. The result is reduced costs through shorter downtime at the bodybuilder’s workshop. It also ensures that the frame’s corrosion protection is not damaged. These are the factors that maximise a truck’s service life.
The optional chassis protective sealant provides effective corrosion protection for the chassis and frame attachments. The transparent protective film enables you to make a visual inspection of the metal surface and read model plates.
The standard-specification bodybuilder interface ensures easy body installation. Time-consuming cable routing is no longer required and connection to all electrical systems is quick and easy.
