Features of the new Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ that will strike you at first glance include the AMG-specific A-shape radiator grille and the updated front apron with special chrome front splitter and modified air intakes. The new design of the flat LED headlamps is likewise unmistakable.

The new rear view, with its two-section tail lights featuring a new internal design, the new rear apron and the selectable AMG exhaust system with specific round twin tailpipe trim elements, is a compelling proposition in every respect. And that's exactly what we were aiming for - appealing, but never obtrusive.

The exterior design of the Mercedes-AMG E 53 4MATIC+ with expressive AMG bodystyling is already a statement for dynamism even when the car is at a standstill. Distinctive details such as the new aerodynamically optimised 48.3 cm (19-inch) AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels serve to accentuate the vehicle's performance aspirations.

The distinctive AMG-specific A-shape radiator grille, as well as the exclusive "jet wing" AMG front apron with new front splitter and modified air intakes, serve to emphasise the car's assured appearance from the very first look. Superbly complemented by the more expressive new LED headlamp design.  

With a design that is generally more dynamic all round, the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S 4MATIC+ now exudes an even more intense fascination. This extends to design features such as the two-section tail lights, the new rear apron with diffuser, S-Model-specific tailpipe trim elements and new 50.8 cm (20-inch) AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels.

AMG light-alloy wheels are not only an integral part of every Mercedes-AMG model from a technical perspective. They are also vital for catching the eye. The new collection includes 50.8 cm (20-inch) wheels, the latter also as forged wheels. It all makes for an even more enjoyable ride out.

The touchpad allows you to control the display of the MBUX as you would with a smartphone. Further controls are arranged around the display panel, giving you direct access at any time to important functions such as the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs, vehicle functions, navigation or telephony.

The optional AMG Performance seats for the driver and front passenger, in black/titanium grey pearl nappa leather with red contrasting topstitching, sum up the AMG philosophy neatly: maximum sportiness in the seating position and thus maximum assurance of handling. They also make a clear visual statement.

Visually speaking, the two screens for the instrument cluster and multimedia displays merge behind a single panel to create the Widescreen Cockpit. For the instrument cluster, the customer can switch between the three AMG display styles of "Modern Classic", "Sport" and "Supersport". The "Supersport" mode, with its central round rev counter and bar graph-type additional information displays to the left and right of the rev counter, is particularly striking. 

Take matters into your own hands: with the new generation of AMG Performance steering wheels you can experience perfect grip and precise reactions. And the steering wheels make a strong visual impression: 3-spoke design, flattened bottom section, perforated grip area, with Touch Control buttons, aluminium shift paddles and, depending on the model, AMG steering wheel buttons.

Using the fully digital cockpit, with two high-resolution displays, the vehicle is as intuitive to operate as a smartphone. In the navigation system, the virtual world is combined with the real world, with graphical navigation and traffic information overlaid over live images.

The various AMG-specific display designs have a distinct emotional appeal, for example the "Supersport" mode with central rev counter. With AMG TRACK PACE you can analyse your driving ability by monitoring your lap times on closed-off race tracks. The touchpad allows you to control the media display as you would with a smartphone.

A sporty and exclusive statement in the interior can be made, if so desired, with AMG Performance seats in black/titanium grey pearl nappa leather with yellow contrasting topstitching. The driver and front passenger can be assured of a safe seating position and superb handling, even with a dynamic driving style, thanks to the improved lateral support.
