Safety.

For seven passengers. And following generations.

Safety and assistance systems

As safe as you would expect from a Mercedes.

An exemplary level of safety even with electric drive.

In the EQV you can feel just as safe as in any other Mercedes. Because the electrically powered vehicles are put through demanding vehicle trials and crash tests typical of Mercedes-Benz. The safety equipment such as assistance systems, airbags and driving dynamics management systems are of the same exemplary Mercedes-Benz standard.

Airbags

Airbags, window airbags and thorax-pelvis side airbags for driver and front passenger are standard equipment.

PARKTRONIC

PARKTRONIC helps to prevent damage to the vehicle when parking and manoeuvring. If the vehicle is approaching a detected obstacle, you are warned by visual and audible signals.

Depending on the distance, first of all the yellow LED lights are activated, and as the distance narrows they are joined by red LED lights and audible signals.

LED Intelligent Light System

The LED Intelligent Light System improves the driver's vision and therefore driving safety, as it can automatically adjust the illumination of the road surface to various driving conditions.

Active Brake Assist
Active Brake Assist can help you prevent accidents with vehicles in front and with crossing pedestrians or to minimise their consequences.

If the risk of a collision is detected, a visual and acoustic warning is first triggered. If the driver does not respond, the system initiates autonomous emergency braking.

Standard Driving Assistance Package

The standard Driving Assistance Package is an intelligent combination of 3 assistance systems which take the strain off you while driving and make driving safer.

Components:

– Active Brake Assist
– Blind Spot Assist
– Lane Keeping Assist

Better rearward visibility.

Digital inside rearview mirror (Optional)

Mercedes-EQ EQV: digital inside rearview mirror

Better rearward visibility.

Digital inside rearview mirror (Optional)

The much larger field of vision of the digital inside rearview mirror can provide a better overview of the traffic behind your vehicle while driving, without the view to the rear being restricted by objects or passengers.

The area to the rear of the vehicle which is monitored by the digital camera mounted on the rear window covers approx. 40° of the vehicle's surroundings. That is twice the amount seen through a conventional inside rearview mirror. Using the rocker switch in the lower part of the mirror housing, you can easily switch between the conventional mirror function and the camera image. If you have activated the camera function, the events behind your vehicle are transmitted to the mirror display. You then have a good view to the rear, for example, even when the vehicle is fully loaded, the sun is low or it is dark.

Valuable assistance for staying in lane.

Lane Keeping Assist

Mercedes-Benz EQV: Active Lane Keeping Assist

Valuable assistance for staying in lane.

Lane Keeping Assist

The Lane Keeping Assist function can help prevent accidents due to unintentionally leaving the lane the vehicle is travelling in. A multifunction camera can recognise lane markings and monitors whether the vehicle is moving in its own lane. If the system detects that the vehicle has drifted out of its lane unintentionally – for example due to a lapse in attention – it warns the driver by means of a pulsating vibration of the steering wheel. This prompts the driver to return to the correct lane.

Blind Spot Assist

Blind Spot Assist

Blind Spot Assist can help the driver when changing lane on multi-lane roads. It helps the driver to be aware of vehicles in the blind spot in good time by giving visual and acoustic warning signals. If the system registers a vehicle in this area, a red warning triangle is displayed in the appropriate outside mirror. If the indicator is activated despite this visual warning, the triangle starts to flash quickly and an acoustic warning signal is also sounded.

ATTENTION ASSIST can warn the driver of drowsiness.

ATTENTION ASSIST

Mercedes-Benz EQV: ATTENTION ASSIST

ATTENTION ASSIST can warn the driver of drowsiness.

ATTENTION ASSIST

The ATTENTION ASSIST system can help to avoid momentary nodding off and therefore, in particular on long or night journeys, contributes towards increased driving safety. The system visually and audibly warns drivers if it identifies typical signs of fatigue or inaccurate behaviour and suggests taking a break. To analyse the driving style, steering movements are assessed and used to create an individual driver profile.

Can help to stay in lane in a crosswind.

Crosswind Assist

Can help to stay in lane in a crosswind.

Crosswind Assist

Crosswind Assist can detect track offset caused by strong crosswind gusts in good time manner and help the driver to stay in lane. A sudden track offset of the vehicle can cause inappropriate steering reactions on the part of the driver. Crosswind Assist can correct the course of the vehicle automatically from a speed of 80 km/h. The track offset is therefore significantly reduced and the influence of the crosswind blasts is largely balanced out or reduced.
